Picnics are the best way to spend time with family and friends and when it comes to Northeast, India, we North-eastern's love picnic . Once in a year we all go for a picnic to find happiness and pleasure in our lives. Some of the famous picnic spots in Assam are - near the Kolia Bhomora Setu Bridge, the Jia Bhoroli river, the Saraighat bridge, Basistha, the Brahmaputra river and many more.

Few days back on the New Year's Eve I visited the Nameri National Park with my friends. The road leading to the park was in a terrible condition . After two hours of journey we finally reached Nameri.

 Entering the park the experience is just the opposite as the incessant beauty and myriad heritage can make anyone smile . It is truly one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Down the park there is a river standing by called " Jia Bhoroli". The fresh air coming from the river was enough to lenient a soldier's wound. But, hold on! This freshness, unfortunately, will not be long. It saddened my heart to see the garbage, leftover food, plastic bags, bottles, wrappers, poor sanitation, musky smell everywhere ruining the ethnic beauty and making the place a dirty one.

In our country and especially in Assam engulfed by such a beautiful and wide culture, our very inhuman qualities and lack of responsibly is ruining our heritage. We are good in criticizing  but what we lack is action. We make places like picnic spots where we go to spend quality times with our dear ones dirty but never bother to clean the same. Do we not clean our own homes when it gets dirty? Then why not our own natural heritage? If not us then who? This land belongs to us and it is us who needs to conserve its beauty in every possible way. Lets be rational and starts taking responsibilities. Lets not abandon our beautiful place to die rather we should clean it. Its high time that we transform our words into action. This would eventually welcome more tourists in future and maybe this would lead our state to be the cleanest State in the world.

The concerning authority should take necessary steps regarding improving the road.
